This release contains a major set of improvements to make Navigator work smoother, faster and with less crashes on a Windows 7 64 bit platform. As customers have migrated across to Windows 7 from XP, we have had a slow but steadily increasing reports of system slow-downs and crashes on this platform. Investigations have found that a number of changes we made to ensure compatibility with Windows 8 had a detrimental effect on the performance in Windows 7 64 bit (32 bit versions were fine). We have now made over 600 changes to the Navigator client software which has seprate memory management optimisation for 32 bit, 64 bit Windows 7 and Windows 8 platforms.

Click-2-Mail has been completely re-written in this release - this is in line with a major software update made by our partner who delivers the Click-2-Mail service. As a reminder, Click-2-Mail is a Navigator service -integrated with the Marketing Campaign and ACM systems which allows mass sending of letters via a bureau service. The letters are printed and posted by the Click-2-Mail service and requires no interaction by the Dealer except for clicking the send button! The cost per letter is typically the same or less than the Royal Mail price of the stamp to send it!

See your customer feedback! Navigator now has the ability to send a CSI survey to your customers after their vehicle has been in for a service. There is now an option to use the Service Online Booking application without having to integrate it with the Navigator system. This facility can be setup so that it simply sends an email when a customer has enquired about a Workshop booking through Online Service Booking application on your website.

There was an issue with the MOT date field on the "Complete MOT" option not saving. This has now been fixed.

There was an issue where by if a host deal was undelivered the PX status would change to PX Pending on the PX stock record and still appear as in stock on the Host deal - PX Details tab. This has now been fixed so that the part exchange stays with a status of In stock.

A series of changes together culminate in the ability to be better able to quote, raise sales orders and process invoices for Fleet customers. This involves :-
•Addition of a new "Detailed Analysis" tick box on the Sales Order. This changes the view on screen to show Retail pricing for Vehicle, Delivery and Factory options, and then shows the discount before adding net priced Dealer options and RFL. Click here for further information. •Added ability when discounting a factory option (right click the option on the factory option tab in sales order and choose Discount) to enter a new Retail Price. Click here for further information. •Added ability to enter Retail price on Delivery Charge button. Click here for further information •Added new "Vehicle Price" button, which allows specific discount of the vehicle (before delivery charge and factory options) and also update of Vehicle Retail. Click here for further information •There is now the ability to print the Retail Price on each line of an invoice. The Navigator Standard form now shows the Retail Price and removes the VAT column (this won't be reflected on customer forms if they have logos/other changes). If the detailed analysis is chosen, a sub-total is printed after the vehicle, delivery and factory options along with the discount. If this option is to be used, then the invoice form will need to be edited to add the Retail column (otherwise the actual discount won't be printed). |

The RFL table now allows the entry of RFL Bands and their CO2 ranges, the lines in the actual table are then associated with the band, and the price is broken down into Basic and FRF/Showroom tax. Click here for further information.

Choosing a Road fund licence now shows the Band, CO2 range, Basic price, FRF and total. The CO2 level of the vehicle is pre-filled (or can be manually entered) and the table is filtered to only show appropriate lines. There is also a tick box to define whether to add FRF or not (this is automatically ticked for new vehicles). To make this work, go into the RFL parameter, delete everything that is there, create the CO2 bands and then create the RFL tables as per DVLA guides. Click here for further information.

A bug which was causing the miscalculation of purchase VAT on Commercial Part Exchanges in certain circumstances when there was a multiple PX's on the deal has now been fixed.

Part Exchange Purchase invoices are no longer produced for Qualifying Part Exchanges (the customer would be required to provide a VAT invoice).

Receipts are now dated in the nominal as follows :- If Cash/Chq or Credit Card - the date is always current date, otherwise, the nominal is dated as entered. Where a cash receipt is backdated, the note on the nominal transaction shows the actual date entered. This is to assist with Banking reconciliations (the nominal date is always the same as the date the entry appears on the Till Reconciliation).

There was a bug whereby the Part Exchange VAT Status would not maintain it's VAT status. This has now been fixed.

If a part exchange didn't have a settlement entered when raising a sales order, adding the Settlement details in the stock record was not working properly. This has been fixed.

On the forms designer you now have the ability to make certain fields appear on display view and emails only. All controls (images/text boxes/panels etc) have a "Printable" property. Set this to false and it only displays/emails but won't print it. This can be used to add logo's etc to emails.
To do this you do the following:
When you add an image/textbox/anything to a form, there is a property in the property list for that control called "Printable". Set to "no" and it only shows when you view. Click here for further information.
This is most useful for dealer who have pre-printed headed paper so have no need to print logos/dealer details on printed invoices but do need them when emailing.

There is now an additional column for "Reason" next to the "Next Contact" date field. This will display the reason for the next contact date (20 character display).

The comma has now been removed from the beginning of a payment reference against an invoice. It now only shows a comma on the payment reference if there is more than one payment against an invoice. This will now display something similar to "145, 150".

The stock no has had "New" or "Used" prefixed. Also the vehicle location (from the stock record) is shown. The auto-refresh option has been switched off.

When releasing a job it is now possible to add a "Next VHC Date" - this works in the same way as the next service/mot date and is the date that the customer is expected to return his vehicle for a free VHC check (based on Amber items on the VHC). This is displayed on the customers vehicle record, and on the workshop screen when making an appointment. Click here for further information.
This is used for follow up by the Aftersales Contact Management system and there are new sms, email and document templates for follow up on the VHC. Please contact your Account Manager if you require this setup.

The initial confirmation screen (after choosing the customer/vehicle) has been re-organised to be easy to review. The VHC date has been added to the Service Dates section.
