If you only want items on the forms designer to display on email templates you do the following:-
Go into the Forms Designer and select the required form.
Select the required text box/ images etc and you will see a properties bar appear on the right hand side.
On the Properties bar there is a heading called Behavior. In this list is an option for Printables - set this to false.
