Once the Customer Request is entered, there are several options that may be taken to complete the job card instruction to the technician :-
•Diagnosis Only •As Customer Request •Job from Pre-set job code. •Free-Text Job •Sub Contract Job
Multiple job card instructions can be entered in response to a single customer request (this is particularly useful if the job is warranty and there are multiple warranty operations for a single item).
To complete adding the request and all of it's related job instructions, select who it is chargeable to (this is optional as it can be updated later)
Note: Separate Warranty Job Cards
Many franchise standards require warranty work to be completed on a separate job card to non-warranty work. If this parameter is set in Service Parameters, then it is a requirement that any customer requests which are likely to be warranty claimed have a "Chargeable to" selected to "Warranty".
If the request specifically requires parts to be ordered, then click the "Parts Order Required?" tick box. (It is normal to leave this blank in most circumstances)
Add the request and it's associated labour instructions by clicking the "Confirm" button.
The screen will refresh ready for the second customer request to be entered. Continue adding requests until complete, and then click the "Exit" button when prompted for a request.
